Lorenzo Commisso

1978 born in Pordenone (IT)

With a Degree of Painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna (2006) and in Arti Visive at the IUAV of Venice (2015). In 2013 he is among   the selected artist for the residence at Bevilacqua La Masa of Venice. His work is characterized by multiple aesthetics, where we can easily find fixed point as the use of metalanguages reflections on the double, on time and on the intrinsec properties of the practice used. He interprets his works as a quantity of liquid that takes shape/form according to  the container in which it is poured. 

His artistic  career is influenced by a research in the musical field, that develops in parallel to the visual one. From 2003 to 2006 he collaborated with the contemporay theater company Cosmesi (Eva Geatti, Nicola Toffolini). He has been part of some performing audio/video groups, such as Colora (Rachele Burgato), Il Moro and the Quasi Biondo (Matteo Dainese, Manuel Pitton, Mario Ruggero, Roberto D’Agostin), Papier Collés (Alan De Ceco, Stefano Giust) and Ok NO (BLU, Maledettottave,). Since 2017 he is engaged in the Mr. Island musical project.
